Kaltra is the Second Daughter of House Thalluen, who becomes Thalluendara (the Kiss of Thalluen, aka: the favored heir) after the accidental death of Jilrina, her older sister. She was possibly as displeased about this sudden change in fortune as her young sister, Sirana, and perhaps the Matron Thalluen, herself.
Background
Not quite fifty years younger than the firstborn, Jilrina, Kaltra was given a great deal of attention from her older sister at an early age. Tutoring, games, doting, instructing, commanding, most of it happened outside of the nursery when the Matron or First Son were busy. Kaltra wanted litle more than to please her sister, who could go from calm and smart to a voilent rage with an ill-spoken word or stupid action.
Believing Jilrina would be a Matron-Priestess one turn and that the First Son Azed wouldn't live to see it, Kaltra ingratiated herself to her sister over her Mother, even when she was confused about her sister's tastes in private games sometimes. She was assured these were Priestess games, and the most powerful females in the city approved, no matter what their Mother thought.
Current
Kaltra was jealous for decades of the attention Jilrina carved away from her and gave to their younger sister, Sirana, instead. Although glad to be included and willing enough to assist in those times Jilrina asked Kaltra for help in trapping or restraining the little demoness, she still wished it was just the two of them again. Nonetheless, she's said absolutely nothing that would give Matron Rohenvi to warning that her eldest Daughter would one day be chosen by Braqth's Finest. And neither did Sirana.
