The Moonlight Guard
The Moonlight guard is the personal guard of the Master of Services who is head of the Qamaar and resides at Ashamaal in Sindar.
They are a veteran force, hand picked by the Master of Arms in Ashamaal. They are picked for their skill, loyalty, and their intellect including their ability to act decisively and correctly without prior instruction. To be selected for the Moonlight Guard is a significant honor for any warrior of the Safreen people.
They usually guard the Master of Services when at the headquarters of the Qamaar, in Ashamaal, but their most difficult, and arguably important, duty is protection during travel.
Composition
Manpower
They number between twenty-five and fifty at any given time.
Equipment
They are equiped with the best forged armor and weapons from the Safreen smiths. Their armor and weapons are adorned with iconography depicting a silver crescent moon approaching half full. Their equipment is paid for with coin from the Qamaar's coffers.
Weaponry
Weaponry can vary slightly according to each person's skill, but they typically have scimitars, shields, short spears, short bows, and an array of daggers about their person.

Small formation and bodyguard tactics.
Training
Though only those already highly skilled are chosen, they are given additional training to ensure they have sufficient knowledge, not just on how to fight as individuals, but as a team to protect a given individual or individuals. As the Master of Services must often meet with highly influential persons of significant rank and foreign dignitaries, they also receive significant training in etiquette and foreign culture.
