Seer. Traveler. Reality Walker. Never Met An Enemy She Didn't Befriend.

Hinata began life as a flying squirrel. She was one of the Overlords' early experiments in sentience. When their experiment changed her into a vastly different form, they considered it a failure, and shortly thereafter she was rejected, tossed into a space between magic and multiple realities. There, she was caught in an endless loop of being created and being unmade, torn into stardust and reformed anew. After her eventual rescue by the Ardalu during their settlement of a corner of Luridity Galaxy, she began her life anew.
Hinata just wants to help. Okay, she also wants to learn. She is full of energy and life and loves to meet and befriend people, as well as to help people meet each other via reading her cards for them. She's eager to read futures and pasts, eager to encourage ideas, and eager to stop disasters. Not being able to do more than See these things and tell people about them frustrates her, and she wishes she could do more. She has a growing collection of cards that she keeps in her Deck Box, and these seem to appear with each journey she makes. Hinata suspects these are gifts from the magic in the center of Galaxy, the Aethrelia from which her abilities stem.
Capable of traveling to other worlds in astral form, Hinata has anchors made by the Ardalu which pull her back after certain amounts of time. These anchors also work when she is walking dreamscapes or other realities, in an attempt to keep her from becoming trapped there, overstaying her travels. They do not, however, return her home when she travels physically--in reality--which she constantly forgets. Even after thousands of years in a solid form, she still loses focus and occasionally will confuse her surroundings with what she Sees instead. The anchors help bring her mind back to the present as well, so that she isn't wandering off without realizing what she has done.
Currently living in the city of Maliçade, she makes her home in a palatial estate within the secure stone walls of the Ardalu. She has never had visitors beyond the Ardalu, but has made forays into the city, where her unusual appearance is shielded from humans by the Glamour. Other species believe she belongs to a subset of undiscovered Kynd, and she has done nothing to dissuade them of this notion.
Recently, she has discovered raves and clubbing, two activities where she is wholly able to immerse herself and become lost in luscious sounds rather than flitting between realities and dreams. Her life before she began traveling to physical places was primarily dedicated to visual arts, but music brings her joy she hadn't experienced before. On Telluria, she frequently follows the sounds to street musicians during the day and underground clubs at night.

Backstory

Hinata was the first attempt at sentient life by the Overlords of Luridity Galaxy. Hundreds of thousands of years ago, they created her from Aethrelia, the Galaxy's central source of magic--and creation. However, they were disappointed with her and deemed her a failure, then tried to undo their creation. That also failed.

Side Story

The world turned solid again. No longer was she soaring in an infinite void of gray clouds and nothingness.
Who am I?
Hinata stretched her front paw out, its alien form impossible and hideously barren of fur.  One finger, two, three, four, even an opposable thumb.  She repeated the movement with the other paw before bringing both together in front of her face to study the whorls, light lines and creases in her flesh. 
WHAT am I?
Certainly, she remembered thick, firm pads of some sort where the strange, extended digits now were, nothing more than flesh-covered bones.  Soft, tearable flesh.  Without protection from fur or callouses, such things certainly couldn't carry her on long prowls in the prickly leaves and twigs of the forest floor. No, these would probably shred just from looking at the bark on a pine.  No claws extended from any of her four feet, either.  Instead, Hinata had these stubby little approximations that spread out wide and blunt rather than thin and razor sharp.  Utterly useless for pulling herself up trees and over branches.
Worse yet, she STOOD.  Her hind legs didn't compress enough to give her momentum, they merely...held her upright and jumped...a little bit.  She brushed her naked palm over the bark of a pine tree and her breath caught at the change in scale. Her paws were much bigger than before.  Dozens of times bigger.  And where......where were her WINGS.
Before, she had lovely white- and gray-furred patagium that she'd spread when she jumped from on high.  The built-in glider made her feel like she was flying on the air currents, soaring to a landing. Everything, everything was wrong. If she leapt from one branch to another in this body, she'd never make it!
"Correct," a voice said behind her, the sound stretching raw over her senses. 
Hinata shook her head and let out a soft chirp of confusion. A moment later, words filled her head. Language. Turning, she faced the voice and saw a being made of living shadow. Their head wafted to and fro as if made of smoke, and they spoke again.
"Welcome home, Reality-Walker."

Timeline

• Hundreds of Thousands of Years Ago: Hinata was created by the Overlords. And then "uncreated"...unsuccessfully.
• 100,042 Years Ago: The Ardalu stabilize her form and are able to pull her into the present reality of Luridity Galaxy, though her sense of time is still erratic. She begins learning how to live in her new form.
• In the Intervening Years: She begins to observe an ability to move between realities, spaces, and times at will. For a time, she is lost in it again, until the Ardalu fashion her a more permanent anchor, as well as a way for her to cast herself into those transitional spaces and automatically return after a certain amount of time.
• 3000 Years Ago: Hinata accidentally enters her first dreamscape, that of a wolfKynd woodworker living on Telluria. She then accidentally manifests her Deck Box, which she uses to begin Seeing for herself and others around her.
• 600 Years Ago: She warns the Ardalu that someone new is on the way to the Galaxy. She warns that there will be a great restarting of lives across the Galaxy.
• 513 Years Ago: The HMS Copulatory Imperative arrives, and humans are indeed seeded across the Galaxy by the Overlords. Memories and technologies, civilizations and settlements, are all Reset at their whim, with the exception of those belonging to the Ardalu and Hinata.
• 300 Years Ago: Hinata has learned how to cast her travels to very specific places and continues to train herself to be able to travel to specific people. Her cards seem to thrive on this magic, and more and more she is able to view possibilities. She warns the Ardalu and those in the Eros Zone that there will be a grave disaster.
• 255 Years Ago: The Collision, foreseen by Hinata, comes to pass. She feels the shifting of power and its impact across the Galaxy, and her own powers are heightened. The Aethrelia which gives her magic creates multiple person-sized cards in her living space, each seeming to use a different series of images that ultimately thank her for trying to warn everyone, informing her that it approves of her traveling and the work she does with card readings. Upon interpretion of the enormous cards, they vanish, and Hinata feels her powers increase dramatically. Aethrelia becomes weakened, and the Overlords' influence shrinks to the Eros Zone, leaving the other Zones without celestial oversight. Hinata sees this as a new calling: she travels not only to help others but also to keep a watchful eye on other star systems, informing the Ardalu of any disasters so they might be able to do something about them.
• 40 Years Ago: As the cards she uses seem to become more insistent, Hinata begins to do more than attempt to influence general attitudes in the dreamscape. Now, she appears in and interacts directly with the realm of minds and the dreamscapes she visits. Her visits increase in frequency and depth, and she foresees for other people with her cards in person and in dreaming minds.
• 25 Years Ago: The Have You Seen This Woman? flyers appear. Hinata is irritated by the lack of color, given that she goes out of her way to expand colors and other senses for a person's dreamscape upon her visit. They have also made her nose too big. The flyers do not deter her visits, and she feels compelled to add more physical visiting to her travels, venturing away from her Ardalu protectors and tall stone walls and into the city of Maliçade.
• Present: Hinata has discovered the joy of raves and dance clubs and is almost as obsessed with music as she is in telling people what she Sees to try to bring about good futures for all.
