Gráinne ní hEachthighearna Character in The Works of Johannes T. Evans | World Anvil

Gráinne ní hEachthighearna

Gráinne is the youngest of seven sisters, born to Séan and Caitrín ní hEachthigearna. She is a very able fisherwoman and has a great affection for water, but is competent at the repair of various small objects, and is an extremely able saleswoman besides, extremely adept at making one item or other appeal to a would-be customer.    She had never been very interested in marriage, and had declined the offers of marriage she did receive in her youth, but when Joseph Jones approached her in the witch's market in Birmingham, and shyly said that he merely wished to compliment her on the beautiful shine of her eyes and the delicacy of her singing voice, she was delighted, and insisted he escort her on a promenade.    They married a few months afterward.
