Sandhill Tower

Sandhill tower served as the lighthouse for Sandhill Town, guiding dragons and ships from around the world onto the island to trade. According to legends, it sat on the highest cliff on the island, and could be seen from miles away.

Residing just north of Sandhill Town, but still officially part of it, was Sandhill Tower. This magnificent work of architecture and art was constructed to help lost souls find their way to the town, and later used to guide incoming dragons and ships for trading. This tower was so beautiful it was the reason many visited the town.

Design

Sandhill Tower was constructed out of the reddest sandstone, the sturdiest wood, engraved with the more pure gold obtained deep within the island. The beautiful colours of the tower separates it from the village, not to mention towering over every house.

A small sandhill gem supposedly sits on each side of the tower, right at the top of it, the bright green light shining through them could be seen for miles, and would serve as the lighthouse function. Just look for a green shaft of light, and follow it.

History

Apparently, this tower was built long after the town was. Incoming ships would follow currents caused by legendary migrating fish that dragged the seas with them. But as soon as these fish stopped migrating, the currents stopped and ships had no idea where to go.

This is when the tower was made, using a sandhill gem, a bright green last was cast over the oceans and ships and dragons only had to follow this light to its source.
