Cirion
Geography
Cirion is the large forest that covers the eastern portion of Limraes. It is watered by the River Nimrollas, and grows around it, reaching from the foothills of the Ered Limraes, and out towards Illyria. The forest is comprised of smoothly rolling hills, with many creeks and streams running in between them, feeding the Nimrollas.
Fauna & Flora
Cirion is one of the most lush forests in Faenir, due to its stewardship of druids. They have cultivated the land with the help of Llyra to be fertile, and a perfect home for many of the rarest flowers and herbs in the land. One of the most cherished flowers in the forest is the Llyra's Touch, which only grows in select parts of the forest in the light of Gemstones.
The animals of the forest are protected by the druids, and so the ecosystem is one of the best maintained and balanced in Faenir. The delicate balance between predator and prey is carefully monitored, and whenever there is an excess of any given sort of animal, the druids will allow the Elves of Limraes to hunt them for their hides and other trophies.
Natural Resources
Cirion is filled with rare flowers and herbs, many of which have medicinal or magical properties. These flowers and herbs are viciously guarded by the druids who inhabit the forest, and are used for the maintenance of the land and the natural inhabitants. Rarely, the druid will help those who come to them for aid, but most often, those who come to reap the benefits of the forest are either kept out, or lured into a trap to be slain.
Otherwise, the animals of the forest have pristine hides, which are sometimes used by the elves as exquisitely fine garments. The druids look down on the hunting of these animals, though when the animals are old enough, the druids will sometimes send them to the outskirts of the forest to keep the elves on good terms.
