Flora Elf

With every step the grass beneath her feet turned green, the long dead flowers came to life and bloomed in an explosion of colors. She placed a hand on the tree and shed a silent tear. 'I am sorry my friend that I was too late.'
From the Huggleland Novel: The Forgotten Garden of Rosaline
While many assume Flora Elves are superficial, the reality is they love and embrace all plants from the smallest blade of grass to the Tallest tree and every flower, fruit, and vegetable in between. Whether they have use of their powers or not, Flora Elves not only love nurturing the plants around them, they love to draw, paint, and create other art of said plants. Their architecture, dress, and holidays mimic the plants around them. Because of this, some of Huggleland's most beautiful structures are products of the Flora Elves.     Flora Elves are assumed to be the largest group of elves however, that may just be because they are the most willing to travel and explore the world beyond their own garden. Flora Elves are often the first to help a land experiencing famine with fresh fruits and vegetables and the first to intervene when forest are threatened. Flora Elves want everyone to embrace and appreciate the plants around them as much as they do. Because of this they tend to live all over Huggleland not just in their established cities.     While typically seen as one cohesive group Flora Elves do tend to dress and express themselves in a few distinct ways. There are those that focus on the trees and forests. These Elves tend to wear greens and browns and use leaves for accessories and sometimes entire garments. They like to build their homes high in the tree tops and whole villages are built in the canopies of dense forests and jungles. Some focus on the flowers of the land and build gardens that words cannot accurately describe. They tend to wear colorful garments that stand out in crowd. It is common for both men and women to adorn their hair with fresh flowers and often dress thematically. Those with wealth often commission them for not only private gardens but for all kinds of lavish buildings. Still others tend to focus on the the harvest the world provides. These elves celebrate the food provided by all kinds of vegetation. Many culinarians study under these elves or seek out special ingredients for the rich. Nicknamed "Harvest Elves," almost every holiday, festival and banquet is in celebration of food.
