Pelican Class
INTRO_QUOTEDesigned by Pearson's Shipwright Company, the Pelican class ship is built as a hauler. The Pelican has one large and spacious cargo bay, while also fitting enough space for crew quarters to sail long distances. True to the Pearson design, Pelican vessels are built to last any condition out on sea. However, what makes the Pelican unique is its ability for cold storage; allowing fresh and perishable goods to travel further.

Long-distance Hauling
The Pelican ship is designed to transport goods across the Atharian Seas with as little docking as possible.QUOTE_1_1
Cold Storage
Located towards the aft of the Cargo Bay is a separate compartment that is divided by a planked wooden wall. This is where traders can keep perishable goods, as the compartment is the Cold Storage bay. It is Ebenezer's secret of how this is made possible. However, many speculate it is the wood itself, as there are rumours if you look closely you'd see strange grains in the wood.Origin

Apples afar
The tale of how Ebenezer Pearson got the idea for the Pelican goes back to when he was in his teens. He visited Appley City and loved the sweetest of apples the island could offer. However, being a Lorlundian from New Point Harbor, apples were a rare and expensive commodity.QUOTE_2_1
The Solution
Ebenezer Pearson's philosophy when designed the Pelican was "the longer the ships can go, with fewer stops, the better."FINAL_QUOTE_ABOUT_ARTICLE
