The Arbour

High temple of Faolan, lord of earth

The Arbour is the high temple of Faolan, the Lord of Earth, which means that it is the main temple dedicated to Faolan in all of Serukis. It is located in the city of Lord's Rock, and is the largest building in the city besides the castle itself.
The temple is built out of large blocks of dark stone quarried from the Teeth, the mountain range visible from the city itself. The outside is carved to look as though trees were used in its construction, bark and leaves lovingly rendered in stone. Carved vines climb up the walls around the door, some with wicked thorns and blooming roses.
Inside the temple, the ornate carving continues, depicting all manner of flora, fauna, and fungi. A tower has been built on the left side of the temple to allow priests to get a good view of the Teeth whilst they pray. In the centre of the temple, a large courtyard garden is maintained, with a large ancient oak tree as its centrepiece.
