Frozen Desert

As the name implies, the Frozen Desert is cold. The unique climate and surrounding mountains in this region of Monyus mean there is almost no rainfall.

Frost and snow might dust the tops of dunes and hills, but for the most part, the desert looks just the same as any you might find in Chezri.

Localized Phenomena

The main exception to the inhospitability of the desert is the Purple Oasis, an impossibly large copse of opulent plantlife, ranging from pale blue to deep purple.

While undeniably magical in nature, no-one has been able to determine what caused it, or from which Sphere it draws its magic.

Some theories hold that the Oasis is powered by Push magic, but it's equally possible that it draws from the Beast or the Storm.

Tourism

Followers of Nachi, almost completely comprised of Monoduga, regularly make pilgrimages across the desert to the Purple Oasis.

Pilgrims traditionally take no supplies, vowing to live off the sparse vegetation and lizards that inhabit it. It's a long, arduous trek, so many either give up or perish in their pursuit of the mythical goal of Nachi: to become a Conduit of two opposing Spheres.
