Chezri's Tail
Geography
The entire west coast of Chezri is defined by plate boundaries.
While the divergent boundary to the south gives rise to multiple volcanos and island chains, Chezri's Tail marks a particularly harsh convergent boundary. The oceanic plate to the east moves directly against Chezri and is forced underground, feeding a mountain range that is still growing today, not to mention constant earthquakes.
Fauna & Flora
The high concentration of oxygen higher up these mountains allows for larger insects to survive, incuding the world-famous Adolescent Silk Moth. Their remote location and inability to thrive anywhere but Chezri's tail are the main reason that Island Tilkens have such a global monopoly on silk.
History
Considering the height of these mountains and the similarly shallow waters off the east coast of Chezri, it is likely that, at one point in history, the water level was low enough that people may have been able to cross between Pfemba and Chezri. If this were the case, it would have been thousands, if not tens of thousands, of years before the start of the Great War.
Humans or shifters (or even Neyush trolls, if you believe the rumours) could have travelled to Chezri and given rise the the popular Soft-Skins myths of the area. Oddly, however, there are no verifiable mammal skeletons around Chezri's Tail that support these theories.
