Second Uprising

After the events of the Uprising, and the raising of the Catharsis Wall, it was apparent that change would not be brought about peacefully. An underground Resistance was already forming, even before the events of the Uprising. Arms were being smuggled from the outside, and although they were obsolete, they became the basis for the planning of the Second Uprising.
This time, force would meet force, and people who got nothing left to lose can be rather dangerous. The plan was to capture the Avernus Gate, the only way in or out of the C-Wall, and use it as a base to launch attacks to the Citadel and the Hellios Headquarters, where the heart of the Conglomerate was beating. When the Resistance faced counterattacks, they could fall back behind the wall and regroup. They could keep playing the cat and mouse game until someone was ready to discuss terms.   The day of the strike was set for April 5th, and everything was in place. What the Resistance didn’t know was that after the events of the Uprising, the Diedrich Family had their spies and undercover agents infiltrate every kind of organization inside the C-Wall. There was nothing happening in The Center that they didn’t know about. On the night of the 4th, elite forces of the Praetorians cut the head off the Resistance, assassinating 294 of its leaders and officers.   On the morning of the 5th, the heads of the Resistance leaders were hanging over the Avernus Gate, although not many people recognized them for who they were. Another 1.5 million were sent to the Sunlands to meet their demise. The Second Uprising came and passed but no one ever rose.
