It is the most up-and-coming religion in Paneuropa, rapidly expanding to other areas through the influence of the Diedrich family. The Church of Ra came to existence as a consequence of the Sun becoming and playing the biggest part in people’s lives and the Scroll of Truth being found in the Pyramid of Radiance, after the Descend Wars.
According to the Church, the Earth was always meant to be united with the Sun, and transcend to the Eternal Plane. Those faithful to Ra will be welcomed to the Plane, while everyone else will be purged by fire. They use intimidation and terror to convert people to their flock.
Their higher-ranking priests are all women, led by the High Priestess, the firstborn daughter of the Diedrich Family, Petra. Consequently, it is no surprise that the Church has a very close relationship with the Diedrichs, who fund all its activities, including the construction of the
Pyramid of Radiance.
Although the Church is based outside the
Catharsis Wall, it seeks to extend its appeal to the lower Castes. For that reason, it encourages and unofficially supports the
Seed of Ra faction, a group of fanatics spreading its teachings in
The Center.
