Hide Talk Widget

Update

Yay, World Anvil has added the ability to disable the chat widget!
Go to ...
Profile Menu > Features > Help Chat Widget
This allows you to toggle the help chat widget on or off as you need.

Hey do you love the new Talk Widget on the World Anvil website? It is a truly amazing new feature. It is especially useful for new World Anvil user to get help one on one directly with the World Anvil Team. Because not everyone lives on the World Anvil Discord.

However the other side of that coin is maybe you spent years on the World Anvil Discord absorbing the tips and tricks of the most talented World Anvil fans so you don't see yourself using the Talk Widget. Or lets say you use a mobile to edit on World Anvil a lot that makes the Talk Widget ill placed on a small screen.

So I spent a couple of hours trying to nuke this little bastard with CSS grenades, it was immune. So I reached out to a CSS expert and they said that I would not be able to affect it with CSS. The final solution was to switch from Android Chrome to Android Firefox because it supports add-ons/extensions like the NoScript extension.

So off we go ...

Install Mobile Firefox

Go to Add-on's

Select NoScript

You will need to at least Trust these on the presentation side ...

Keep your eye peeled for little pieces of World Anvil that look weird of do not load properly. Once you discover one check the NoScript list and toggle them on or off until you locate the one that needs to be unblocked. The rest are a combination of user preferences and experimentation.
