Aspirations & Threads

The following represents three of the personal Thread Boards for your character. These focus on what your characters goals are, what they are actively working on and what they have done.

Aspirations

Aspirations are one of the most important ways you can earn Experiences, which advances your character. More importantly, they’re clear statements to your Storyteller about the types of things you wish to see happen to your character. The player knows them; the character doesn’t have to as Aspirations are a player’s goals for his character, not necessarily the character’s own goals. Aspirations should always push action, not restrict it. If an Aspiration falls out of favor it can be sent back to The Requiem so it can simmer longer or Closed if it no longer appeals to you or the situation has changed.
You may have up to three (3) Aspirations for your character active. You may also have one (1) active Group, Team-up or Coterie Aspiration at a time. Once an Aspiration is completed it can be Closed. Most aspirations will be promoted from your Requiem either you just came up with one, or you have been brewing an idea and it is ready to move from your Requiem.

Aspirations - Closed

This is where Aspirations come to rest when they are no longer active. This is a place for completed, closed, abandoned or discard Aspirations. However with creative maneuvering and interesting aspirations that enhance the story, Closed Aspirations can be moved back to your Requiem or Aspiration Thread Boards.

Requiem

A vampire's requiem is their life as it intertwines with other kindred and the world around them. Imagine this as the planning board for your character. A place to start ideas they want to explore, people they meet and may want to follow-up with, organizations they belong to or would like to join. Start a thread for everything, well everything you think will be important to your character. This is where your aspirations begin their life as your coax them in to worth events for your character.

Note: Now that Aspirations have their own category there is no longer a need to have a keyword like aspiration or goal in their name. This is simply determined by their location now.
