Shadow damage represents both the necrosis of antilife and consuming darkness of entropy. Often runs in tandem with the gloom of the the Darkness trait, being entirely seperate despite being named similarly. Shadow is the antithesis to Radiant, more often than not; and creatures of shadow are usually at odds with those from the positive energy based lines of Life
Other words for the Shadow are 'Void', 'Necrotic' or 'Negative Energy', leading to the monickers of Shadow-based planes being 'The Void', 'The Shadow Realm' or 'The Negative Energy Plane', or even 'The Netherworld'.
