Trait: Persistent⚙️
Persistent damage comes from effects from burning from acid, being on fire, bleeding from slashing, or many other situations. Persistant damage itself is quite unique in that it starts small, but can build into something deadly if not taken away, and as extra damage is not something that is easily mitigated.
Mechanic ⚙️
Persistent damage takes the form of the of two conditions, being Physical Persistent Damage and Energy Persistent Damage. There are two kinds of Persistent Damage (Physical and Energy), and they both stack from their corresponding sources no matter the form, and can stack potentially infinitely.
Each time Persistent damage is taken in their corresponding form, they add onto the condition. At the end of the turn the afflicted creatures takes damage equal to the stacks' size, and the stacks are halved. A creature (be it the afflicted or an ally) can spend an action (◈) to halve one of the stacks harmlessly.
