Trait Mechanic⚙️

A weapon that can be used to make a ranged attack has a range in parentheses after it. The range lists two numbers. The first is the weapon’s Close Range Increment, shown in feet, and the second indicates the weapon’s Long Range Increment.

When attacking a target beyond Close Range, or while you are in within melee range of another creature, you have Disadvantage on the attack roll. You can’t attack a target beyond the weapon’s longer range.

 

By default, Ranged Attacks use DEX / Dexterity as the Attack Modifier by default, no matter a player character’s Key Attribute (unless otherwise noted or modified).
