Term: Disadvantage

Disadvantage in this game is the process of, while rolling a 1d12 or 1d20 , rolling two of the same dice and picking the lower result.

This drawback is often given for very short bursts of misfortune (often for very short or very specific bonuses that almost always last 1 round), but when not it equates to a a one time -3 or -5 numbered penalty.

Disadvantage doesn't stack when given by multiple sources, but various features will have the benefit roll over into Bonus Dice. Furthermore, if you have to roll both Disadvantage and Advantage at the same time, you only the dice as normal (no matter how many sources are supplying either).
