Ooze, Gray

The Ooze's body bubbles up through stonework like clogging mud. It smells foul and dead, and amongst it's amorphous form are the just visble remains of it's previous meals and victims.

  Truth be told you might as well call it a Cement Monster.

Features

Ooze Anatomy : ~0.0
Oozes can only be Critically hit by natural 20s and damage types they have a Weakness to, if any (as per the Ooze Weakness feature). As a Gray Ooze does not, it can be crit freely.

  The Ooze can also move through a space as narrow as 2.5 cm / 1 inch wide without squeezing, and it can move into an enemy's square if the enemy has 0 movement speed.

  Transparent Form : ~1.0
Lacking any kind of color oddly gives the Ooze a bit of danger to it. The Gray Ooze has Expertise in Stealth, and advantage on Stealth checks.

 

Actions

Attacks | ◈ per, up to 3 a turn
The Gray Ooze attacks with it's psuedopod body, lashing out at enemies it can reach. It will target whatever it is closest to, trying to weaken it's prey to draw it into itself. Enemies engulfed in the Ooze's Space are automatically attacked at the start of their turn, without consuming an action.

  A Divided Ooze has half the Hit Points of the Ooze it was split from, and is 1 size category smaller, down to the size of Small. The new Oozes appear in an unoccupied space adjacent to where the original was, and automatically pushes objects and creatures away to fill space. The smaller Oozes have the same stats, but take a penalty dice (base d4) to their attacks, their damage, and their saves. This penalty dice increases with each smaller version of the Ooze.
  A Dividing Ooze breaks all grapples.
  Doom Doom: If the the Ooze is Bloodied or takes damage from a damage type it is immune to, Ooze Split becomes a free action and the ooze does it immediately. If the Ooze was bloodied when it split, neither new Ooze can Split again until both parts of it finishes a Long Rest.

 

-Tactics-

The Cement Monster is a work of earthen magic and runoff gone wrong. It lacks much of the magical properties it's more vibrant kin has, but it is still a danger to the unaware and unprepared. The Gray ooze will wrap whatever it finds into itself and slowly dissolve it. It has no thoughts or plans otherwise, merely fighting enemies to consumption and presumed death.
  As a Gray Ooze, it lacks no color-based properties and can be struck, and crit, freely.
