You see one, no two--four people walk out of the alley closeby. They all wear cloth facial coverings of red, and one of them twirls a dagger rather menacingly.
  "You know how this works." they say nonchalantly. "Yer money, or yer life."

  Failing all other pursuits in life, they went into thievery, with a minor in social studies.
