BG: Merchant

In a dusty shop, market stall, or merchant caravan, you bartered wares for coin and trade goods. The skills you picked up still apply in the adventuring life, in which a good deal on a suit of armor could prevent your death.

Merchant Inspiration

You gain Tokens of Inspiration by making a sale, either by the making a profit or selling and idea or a hope. When times are hard, you've somehow found a way to get by and keep the life blood of communities going. Or you're in it for yourself.
 

Gameplay Additions

You gain the following...
  • Attribute Boosts
    • You gain 2 Attribute Boosts. Traditionally, Merchants set at least one of theirs to Intelligence or Charisma.
  • Primary Skill Proficiencies
  • Secondary Proficiencies or Languages
    1. 1 common Language of your choice
    2. Your choice, between Appraise or Lore: Mercantile.
  • Gained Equipment
    • a set of common clothes, a pouch containing a hefty 200 cp (or 20 sp).
