Chreösánthunine (kree-oh-SANTH-ə-neen, kray-)

Prime Material Plane

The Heart of Reality, known to those who study such things as the Prime Material Plane.   But that is, in truth, an oversimplification.

The Reality of It All

A few scholars claim to have discovered evidence that Chreösánthunine is the True Prime Material plane, centered amid a multitude, perhaps even an infinitude, of others. They assert that Chreösánthunine is surrounded or permeated by ever-diverging Primes. Some even claim that, occasionally, these planes are close enough in some places for a traveler to cross from one to the other without the aid of a separate, magical means.

Ahriman's Ire

It is postulated that, in his early battles with Tólivar-Shûl and the Duranni, Ahriman fractured Chreösánthunine, creating parallel planes of reality like so many layers of an onion. Each subsequent layer, it is believed, imperfectly mirrors the one before it, and diverges ever more as you venture outward.

Sometimes Distance Makes the Heart Grow Fainter

For example, if we consider Chreösánthunine to be the Prime Material Plane, we could call it Prime0. The next closest reality could then be considered Prime1, the next Prime2, and so on. Small differences between these Primes would give a sense of familiarity to visitors from a nearby Prime while simultaneously differing in one or more ways. Some of these differences might be subtle while others might be grand and far-reaching. The prevailing theory among some planar scholars is that the differences between Chreösánthunine and some other Primen are more numerous and more drastic as n increases.

The Heart of the Matter

But the First, the very center, the very Heart of Reality, is Chreösánthunine, breathed into existence by Tólivar-Shûl and shaped according to his will by the Cuenar.
