Sea Ward
Waterdeep's wealthiest ward is notable for the many-spired, grand homes of the nobility, the gleaming edifices of the city's leading temples, and the imposing towers of the city's premier wizards. It lies in the northwest part of the city, hugging the shoreline north of Mount Waterdeep and stretching up to where the old city wall creates a border to the Field Ward.
This is where you will find most of the city's nobility, which also means that this area is heavily patrolled by the Waterdeep Watch.
Demographics
The average person living in Sea Ward is either very wealthy or is a servant in the house of someone very wealthy. The only ones who might live here otherwise are those with enough noble blood or status to insist that they are in fact rich, even if they don't have much gold.
While a lot of the population are human, there is also a significant presence of elves and a few dwarves and halflings.
Government
Like all of Waterdeep, Sea Ward is ultimately governed by the Lords of Waterdeep. However, due to tradition, many areas are considered to domain of the noble family living closest. Only when the nobles require or they might be strongly biased, does the city's general government intervene in a strong way.
Architecture
Most buildings her are grandiose and tall. Expensive stone imported from Mirabar via Luskan is heavily used in construction of various estates. Even the temples here tend to be of the more extravagant kind. Streets are usually fairly wide and open and there are plenty of statues and other public decorations.
