Polganite Forerunners
The Polganite technological civilization which destroyed itself in the Terminus Wars some seven centuries before the present day.
Similar to human civilization on Terra during the Age of Prosperity, the Forerunners derived virtually all of their energy from ancient stores of fossil fuels. When these began to run out, the Polganites suffered a crisis which ended in global thermonuclear war.
Its highest technological achievements included huge tank-like landships and digital computers, which were on the verge of being linked into a global network.
