Sun Empire

Ancient Polganite nation prior to the Terminus Wars. It was a totalitarian regime similar to the Marxist states of industrial Terra, ruling through terror and brutal suppression of any dissent. One of its most elite arms was the Security Service, charged with overseeing military and government operations to ensure loyalty.
One of the parties to the Terminus Wars which ended high civilization on Polganos, it prepared for this event by constructing secret networks of tunnels and bunkers beneath its cities and produced bioweapons which it intended to use in the aftermath to defeat its enemies once and for all. The biowarfare program failed, however, when the scientists revolted and were massacred by the Security Service. Once a mighty superpower, the Sun Empire was reduced to ruins and radioactive ash.
