Hot air balloons have become all the rage for the upper class. It is by far the most stylish way to travel and explore the world. Take in the sights for miles around and escape the noise of the cities below! Let the winds take you to unknown lands on calm and clear days. Bring a pair of binoculars or looking glasses to observe local wildlife without the smell!
Hot air balloons fly inland only due to the strong coastal winds providing too much instability of the basket, oh and make sure you relieve yourself before flight. Travellers are encouraged to bring light provisions and a warm overjacket as it can become pleasantly cool at higher altitudes.
Landing can be a little bumpy, but only the inexperienced navigators or engineers have ever crashed a hot air balloon. The resourceful traveller will be able to make a sheltered tent from the fabric, so it's not the end of the world if you land in the unknown!
Basket sizes vary, some are very cosy and allow quick short flights for an afternoon, whilst others can accomodate a small team of explorers and adventurers (and their limited equipment, of course)!
