I love all of this. There are great questions above that you might want to address, but I've got nothing to add. I just love the approach here, especially the bit about fertility services. As someone who struggled with infertility myself, I love seeing that topic covered in fiction/fantasy/sci-fi.
Interesting article. Who can afford their services? Everyone or just the wealthiest? Are there other kinds of such workers who don't follow the same rules as concubines?
