The Crimson
The leader of the Children of Crimson, the Crimson is said to be the reincarnation of Indryth. Born on the night where no moon was visible in the sky but the Red Star brightly shone, the Crimson is sought out by the other Children who seek to perform the Rites of Remembrance, awakening the latent memories of Indryth and their previous incarnations within the being.
Most prominently, however, is the amulet carried around their neck. This amulet is said to be one of the lost Relics of Ochrid known as Second Chances with the mystical ability to turn a grievous wound into an insignificant one. It also grants the wielder the ability to see past the veil of the Material Plane, allowing them to peer into the Ethereal.
History
After being stripped of their power, Indryth was lost in the Material Plane without any clear direction aside from their survival. Though she would find out that her body still did not age, she quickly realized that her flesh was still very much capable of pain and could possibly be slain if she came across the wrong person. After getting in trouble with one of the neighboring kingdoms and slaying a prince in a fit of rage, they were hunted down and burned at the stake. The Disciples of Crimson were able to create a ritual that allowed their leader to live on from life-to-life. Only five people have gone through this ritual, all living far past their expected lifespans.Qualifications
Requirements
Only those born on the Night of the Red Star can be chosen to be the vessel of Indryth. Often times, these people will have gaps of memories and waking up in locations and situations with no recollection of how they emerged. These individuals will often face horrors in their early years of life until they are eventually found by a member of the Children of Crimson. This cult will attempt to induct them to their cause willingly at first, but if this proves to be too difficult or fails entirely, they will do so by force if the need arises.Appointment
The Rites of Remembrance are not an easy task and are certainly not for the faint of heart. The chosen stands in the center of an intricate geometric design surrounded by blackened candles with red wax. The words of the rites are chanted by the Children of the Crimson as the subject is stricken with visions of their past incarnations and even memories of Indryth's time as an omnipotent deity. This event is perilous on the mortal mind and can lead to their outright death if the chosen is not high of will. Should the ceremony be successful, rather than Indryth simply taking over the host's body, the two being's memories and experiences are merged together becoming a new person altogether. Though this ritual can still be performed on subjects who are not willing, the test of the mind is much harder to overcome and often results in the subject becoming catatonic for the remainder of their days.

Duties & Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities are not always clear at first, but when the Rites of Remembrance are performed, the awakened demi-god is sought with a clear path to guide the Children of Crimson. The ultimate goal of which is for the Crimson to earn their place back among the Gods beyond the cosmos of the Material Plane. The Crimson has a duty to guide the members of the Children of Crimson to their afterlife upon reaching the age of 30 and then guiding their souls into Neophytes entering the order.Benefits
Accoutrements & Equipment
Adorned with an enchanted, ornate, black and crimson robe, the Crimson is gifted with several gifts accumulated throughout their many centuries of life. The headdress of a black dragon spirals from the crown, eliciting fear and a commanding presence to those looking upon their glory. An ancient tome of spells hangs from their side, filled with wonders and incantations of arcane mysticism. An enchanted Obinite kris sword that is slightly cold to the touch is sheathed on their back. The blade teems with magic, frosting the air around it sending shivers down the spine of all those not attuned to its chilling power.Most prominently, however, is the amulet carried around their neck.
