Murk's Maid

Historical Overview

The first appearance of the Murk's Maid was in the journey of Dennic I Prominere, the legendary founder of House Prominere. Murk's Maid is believed to sit at the top of the hierarchy of servants of Murk, the Obscure One.
It was the final creature to be thrown against Dennic in his journey about the frozen north of the Unknown Tides, and while he forced it to flee, it injured him gravely. While little description of Murk's Maid, besides impressions of its size, appear in legend, it is infused more with vaguely magical powers, rather than physical weapons such as the Toothed Whale or Clawed Whale. 

Biology

Little is known of the actual biology of Murk's Maid, as it has never been credibly seen. While some sailors have stories of encountering the creature, it is often as a large shadow moving beneath the surface. Therefore, most estimations of the size and weight of the creature are simply that it is incredibly large. In legend, besides its size, the only other feature described by Dennic's story are its smoldering orange eyes.
