Heiorun the Holy Goat Character in Val'Vahan | World Anvil

Heiorun the Holy Goat

Summary

There is a very famous, almost mythical, goat that wanders the world. The goat has many names: among them are Hide'n'Run, Hey'o'Rum, Shertbriar, Mead Teats, Pirkass, Heiorun, the Yule Mule, and others. The goat wanders the world and if milked will not produce milk, but mead.

They say you can milk enough mead from the goat to fill a vat every day, enough for an army to drink. This goat wanders around and people like to fantasize they'll find this goat and drink its holy mead for themselves.

The druids claim the goat gains its supernatural powers from its consumption of the great World Tree, which pierces and spans the universe. The goat rises on two legs and eats the leaves from the branches daily, leading to its long life and infinite mead.
