Valley of Plenty- OLD

Located in a mountain basin, the Valley of Plenty is and was a resource-rich location. Accessible from only two directions, both a mountain pass in the south-east, and a river valley in the west, the valley is hard to invade. It historically was well-defended with two forts blocking the entrances. There are stories about invading armies being routed, though it is unclear whether this were actual armies or just large groups of bandits.   Large enough that it took people several days to travel from one end to the other, the valley has three rivers coming from the surrounding mountains, combining into a large and fish-rich river flowing to the west. One of the rivers features a lake that proved excellent for fishing, while forests provided all the wood needed, and fertile plains allowed for farming. In the north, ore deposits supplied all the metal needed for the valley's residents and its export products.   Before the valley was lost due to disasters, it was considered incredibly safe, with limited hostile wildlife. Anyone intending to train against agressive animals, would have to venture into the surrounding mountains.   In the old days, the valley was home to 1 city, 5 villages, and 2 military forts. Well-maintained roads and bridges connected all settlements, while trade vessels would sail down the river and trade caravans would travel through the mountain pass. There are stories that other trade routes also existed, but it's not clear what those were.   Currently, the Mountain Pass Fort has been partially rebuilt by Lord Lebon's expedition to reclaim the valley. The people have built a temporary settlement on the High Plain near the fort, while adventurers and soldiers are exploring the valley to establish safe areas.

"Toss a coin to your witcher , O valley of plenty, O valley of plenty." had to be done :p Sound like a pretty good location to get your hands on and very defendable. A shame that dragons can fly over it :p Are there still things hindering Lord Lebon to advance further into the valley?

I am not saying I was inspired namewise, but I was inspired namewise. There's unknown predators and other animals, and might be a few bands of intelligent species, they're not sure yet. I'll see once I properly read through the monster manual. XD
