Mountain Pass

We still lack resources of many kinds, depending on supplies from the old country. While the nobles don't share all they can, they share enough that it helps us last while we try to become self-sufficient. This makes the mountain pass our lifeline, yet we are stretched too thin to properly secure it.

Once blocked by rubble, the pass was discovered to have cleared up a few years ago. With so much of our homeland cut off, the risk was taken to send scouts and see if we could settle in the valley for now. For now it is the only connection we have to outside the valley. Perhaps in time we will discover other methods, as the old residents were said to have traded with multiple countries.

The knights escorting merchants have reported nearby animals behave strangely, they suspect there are predators nearby. As there are only a few knights at hand, for now caravans must combine to share their escorts.

Mountain Fort

The mountain pass leads directly to the mountain fort, which secures it from the valley's side. Detailed scouting has discovered no easy passageways to bypass the fort.

The old country

On its other side, the mountain pass comes out at the old country, near the currently flooded area. There are still higher-ground roads remaining that lead to various noble domains.
