Lady Ruby-Eyed

A prominent member of the Ravenmight Institute, Lady Ruby-Eyed, Ruby for short, is one of its anonymous members. Despite maintaining her secrecy, she is one of the most socially active scholars present in the valley. She frequently meets with knights, nobles, mercenaries, scouts, merchants, craftsfolk, even farmers.
Leaving aside crass jokes about her height, Ruby is an imposing personality that gestures and speaks loudly yet refined. Her excellent manners, combined with her ability to be the main person in the room, heavily suggest a noble origin. The fact that despite that she still keeps her identity a secret, suggests she believes her true identity would get in the way of her work as a scholar.
Ruby often ventures forth into the valley, researching any documents that can be found, from books to personal diaries. Equipped with a rather excellent memory, she quickly connects new and old knowledge, expanding on our understanding of the valley.

Ruby has excellent physical skills, trained well enough with a rapier to fight evenly against a young knight. She also knows how to brawl in ways that incapacitate her opponents without causing permanent damage. Range-wise her weapon of choice is a crossbow, though she has used throwing knives in emergency situations.
Her endurance is good enough to keep up with escorting scouts on a multi-day trip, still managing to keep her wits at the end of such an endeavour. Her limit appears to be a three-day full march, though on slower investigatory marches she keeps up longer.

Mental

As mentioned, Ruby has an excellent memory which she puts to good use. She only is extremely charismatic, being able to lead a discussion without leaving behind bad sentiments. Exceptions include some of the more problematic nobles, but even there she manages to smooth over their ruffled feathers. She'll even manage to get them to agree to things that in hindsight they'd rather not, but their stubbornness will keep them committed.
In short, she is a bright mind and a smooth operator who is capable of making everyone in the valley, even us, cooperate with each other.
