Crystal Desert

The Crystal Desert is a vast expanse of multi-colored crystal sand, banked on all sides by great mountains. The flowing sands lead some to call it the Crystal Sea, while others refer to it as the Desert of Death, because of the hostile plants and animals, and the dangerous storms which have only become more frequent and unpredictable as the Darkening permeates Thra. As well as sand dunes, the skyline is punctuated with large crystal reefs, which reflect and intensify the baking sun in bursts of rainbow light.
