Western Riverlands of Al'darash

Ervenian Era, 1051 AB
The Western Riverlands of Al'darash are most divided into these areas:
Sacred River System
The Vassiren River is the lifeblood of the Riverlands, connecting settlements and facilitating trade. Its marshy delta, Nethra'Suin, serves as a natural defense, while smaller tributaries irrigate farmlands and forests.
Coastal and Maritime Features
The Gray Coast is dotted with natural harbors, repurposed pirate coves, and the fortified Draeven Bay, the kingdom’s main naval hub. The Pillars of Shadows, rocky sea stacks, are now sacred pilgrimage sites.
Blackwood Vale
A dense forest and natural border, Blackwood Vale is rich with Menedynn ruins and patrolled by the Judicators. The Ebonwatch Peaks provide minerals and act as a defensive barrier.

Natural Defenses

  • Nethra'Suin: Impassable marshlands.
  • Ebonwatch Peaks: A rugged barrier to the west.
  • Vassiren River: Guarded by watchtowers and patrolled waters.

Natural Resources

A temperate climate with fertile floodplains supports agriculture, fishing, and timber from Blackwood Vale, along with iron, silver, and gemstones from the Ebonwatch Peaks.
