Mountoni is a city where strength and wisdom are equally respected. Its inhabitants follow a strict code known as the Iron Veil, which emphasizes loyalty to one’s clan, mastery of magic, and the pursuit of power. However, despite their fearsome reputation, the Oni and Ogre Magi of Mountoni are not entirely malevolent. They value balance and believe that power must be tempered with discipline and responsibility.
History
Mountoni’s origins date back to the need of Old Ansko Empire to be a base to fend off Majestic Kingdom of Keatis and its ally from seizing a direct port to their lands. Therefore, the Dragonborn signed a treaty and brought Oni clans and Ogre Magi.
Fleeing persecution and power struggles, these beings united atop the craggy peaks of Mount Karnath, a mystical and treacherous region rich with ley lines and untapped magical energy. Here, the city of Mountoni was carved from volcanic stone, its towers rising like jagged teeth into the sky.
Legend holds that Mountoni was blessed by a storm god, who imbued the land with an eternal connection to both the material and spirit realms. The Oni and Ogre Magi embraced this gift, establishing a society that values strength, cunning, and magical prowess in equal measure.
