Personal history
Preferring to go by Heiphon, the dragon has always held a strong affection towards the Elleniotos and Estuan people, an affection which he extends to the Argemonti.
When Agustin Andor attempted to conquer the Free Islands, he chose diplomacy over war due to his armies not being prepared for a naval campaign. Chaloriphon met with Agustin as the protector of the islands, and offered him a challenge - if Agustin can count every citizen of the islands within a month, the islands will join his empire; should he fail, the islands shall remain independent. After a month, Agustin presented his count; however, the count included those who have already died in this time, and excluded those who were born. Agustin accepted his defeat, and the islands remained free.
Chaloriphon was a close confidant of the King of Lustiris up to the Belli Magna; he advocated for diplomacy over war against the First Empire of Ader, who had superior armies and was ruled by a Demigod, as he worried that the war might call for desperate measures with devestating reprecussions. In 9 BB he left his abode in Hiprotipoli and retreated back to his lair in the free islands, from where he witnessed The Second Sun.
Now you all see, bright as day, what I saw. Death. Destruction. A Shattering Cataclysm that will leave a permanent scar. I mourn the folly of mortals, your unwillingess to learn, your inability to listen. Your terrible arrogance, that consistently leads to suffering.Despite, or even due to, the grief caused by the destruction of the Midland Plains, Heiphon enjoys swimming and diving in Belligerent's Bay. He is often seen escorting merchant ships, entertaining the crew with tales and occasionally trading with them if possible. He is also known to capsize pirate vessels or drive them ashore, either killing the crew or leaving them stranded.
