Fey Magic

Ervenian Era, 1051 AB
Fey Magic is a form of magic derived from weird magic and used by fey. Though better understood than weird magic, it retains its uniqueness and chaotic nature.

Magic Use

Fey magic is highly supervised by two deities: Helena and Ehlonna.

Manifestation

Unlike most forms of magic, which require practice and is somewhat supernatural, the feys' ability to cast spells is a part of their natural bodily functions. It can be compared to a person's ability to sense their surrounding, a bird's ability to fly, an animal's ability to digest food, a plant's ability to draw sustenance from the ground, and so on. In that sense, fey magic is similar to draconic magic.   Though the effects of fey magic can and have been replicated by spellcasters repeatedly, a fey's innate ability to create magical effects is far superior than one would expect; grigs, for example, are able to create magical effects that are comparable to that of a druid who has the ability to cast spells of the 5th circle.

Localization

Fey magic is commonly related to the fey's natural habitat or their place of residence, and some fey can only use their magic under certain circumstances. However, generally speaking, fey magic can be cast anywhere and at anytime other forms of magic can be cast.
