Dwhewn-Betag
Ervenian Era, 1051 AB
Dwhewn-Betag are the dwarves (mostly Hill Dwarves ) who live in Khazad-Ram.
Like their Dwhewn-Narâg bretheren, they do venerate the Morndinsamman and listen to the Zana betag - however, they do not let them dictate their lives in castes. Unlike the Dwhewn-Narâg, who live mostly underground, most of the Dwhewn-Betag have seen the surface and venture there alot, though most of their population still lives undergound.
Culture
Common Customs, traditions and rituals
Navi
The Dwhewn-Betag, have a special bardic lore, called 'Nevua', which can be translated best to 'Stone-Singing'; Like the Dwhewn-Narâg, their society is composed of special people and those who employ the Nevua, are called "Navi".They are usually as Bards who sing to stone, which enables them sometimes to 'open passageways', find lost miners;
Aluf
"Aluf" is a name for champions of the Dwhewn-Betag, who are usually Rune-Crafters or Rune-Warriors and many Clerics, Oracles and Sorcerers. Aluf is a special status, dictated by the great clans of Khazad-Ram and they usually train Alufs once they show up potential. Those Alufs have a great status in their society, as if they are paragons of their culture - people who their voice count as almost as the clanheads (Though, rarely they do contradict their wordings).Kheren
Seren is a type of a designated Aluf to be; They usually help cultivate farming in the lands of Khazadun, both over the surface and below it (Like the Farming Caste.Coming of Age Rites
All Dwarves, by the age of 30 are encouraged to go out of the mountains of Khazad-Ram and venture - taking up skills in their craft, trade; Many of those dwarves, choose adventuring and bring with them alot of knowledge back when they are ready to come back to the society.
It should be mentioned that many of the Dwhewn-Betag are forming their own mercenary companies with the utmost loyalty to their clans - It is also imperative to know that many who are more 'selfish' do find themsleves with an ache that can only be translated as 'reminiscence' and they are still seeing themselves, all part of the great kingdom of Khazad-Ram.
