Arkza
Ervenian Era, 1051 AB
Arkza arose from the ashes of rebellion, forged by the Metallic Dragonborn who sought to build a free and self-reliant society after the fall of the Old Ansko Empire. It represents a blend of old traditions and modern pragmatism, unified under a vision of shared freedom and self-determination.
They do not wish to be part of the new era of Grand Empire of Arkolion, but maintain good relations with them.
Structure
Arkza is governed by a council known as the Auric Circle, a collective leadership body comprised of representatives from each major region of Thaczil ek Silitic. Each member is chosen through a combination of merit and popular acclaim.
- Minister of the Flame
The chief representative of the Ashen Lowlands, overseeing the geothermal projects and their contribution to Lka'jan's energy supply. - Minister of the Spine
A warrior-leader from the Broken Spine, responsible for defending the land from external threats and maintaining peace among the mountain enclaves. - Minister of the Cradle
A steward of the Sapphire Cradle, focused on agriculture, trade, and food security. - Agricultural Minister of the Barrens
A nomadic representative from the Crimson Barrens, advocating for the rights and needs of the region's herders and miners. - Minister of the Mirror
A historian and archeologist from the Mirror Plateau, safeguarding the cultural heritage of Arkza and exploring its ties to the Grand Empire of Arkolion.
Culture
Arkza places a high value on freedom, resilience, and cooperation. Its people take pride in their dragonborn heritage and celebrate their unique cultural traditions through festivals, art, and storytelling. The memory of their rebellion against the Old Ansko Empire serves as a constant reminder of their hard-earned liberty.
Military
Arkza maintains a defense force known as the Ironscale Legions, composed primarily of dragonborn warriors trained in guerrilla tactics and mountain warfare. Their strength lies in their deep knowledge of the land and their ability to repel invasions through terrain-based strategies. The Ironscale Legions also serve as peacekeepers, ensuring that the regions of Thaczil ek Silitic remain united under Arkza's banner.
Their true power, lies in the Geothermal resource they have from the Fire Elementals enslaved.
Foreign Relations
Arkza remains wary of external powers, especially those with imperialist ambitions. However, they have established trade alliances with neighboring states that respect their sovereignty, most importantly Kingdom of Arasil. Diplomatic efforts are handled by emissaries known as Silver Tongues, who are adept at navigating the complexities of international politics.
Agriculture & Industry
From the depths of the Broken Spine come precious metals and gemstones, highly prized by neighboring regions, while the fertile lands of the Sapphire Cradle yield harvests that feed not only Lka'jan but also sustain valuable trade with allied territories. The dragonborn, skilled artisans of the land, transform these mined resources into intricate jewelry, tools, and weapons, showcasing their craftsmanship. Finally, the Ashen Lowlands hold a secret power—the vast geothermal potential, which is rumored to be 'enslaved' Fire Elementals which help the people of Arkza maintain their forges, lightnings and help them in generating power for their Divine Magic and more directly, their Arcane Magic as the Old Ansko had done in their homeland.
