Player's Guide

Welcome to the Players Guide for OSR tabletop role playing in the world of Koth. In this book you will find articles, rules and carefully curated information about the game world to help you navigate it successfully as a player.   The Koth game world is rather unforgiving - for example raise dead and resurrection spells do not exist unlike other OSR tabletop games. This means that every player should have a healthy fear of character death. If your player character dies, it's over for that character, but you can always start a new one! Hopefully you had some backup PCs somewhere..   Consider this guide a supplement to the existing OSR books from the 70s and 80s. The information here is intended to provoke creativity and a sort of old school way of thinking about fantasy role playing.   It's also important to keep in mind that the your GM may choose to align to the content within or choose not to. GMs have total control over their aspects of the narrative so please don't use this content to be a rules lawyer. No one has fun playing with a rules lawyer!
