“There can be no good without evil, and no evil without good. There can be no light without darkness, nor darkness without light. There can be no life without death, and no death without life. One side cannot exist without the other, and solace can only be found within the balance.”
— Proverb of Lillon
Lillon is one of the five Core Deities of creation, formed by the splitting of Sesais. She is the goddess of balance and natural order, and the creator and patron goddess of humans.

Avatar

The avater of lillon is a pale, thin woman, with a black blindfold over her eyes. She wears loose black clothing, and covers herself with a light grey transparent veil. Mushrooms grow on her shoulders, legs, and arms, and where she walks, hands coated in black ichor rise from the ground and reach for her. She has long, white, hair, as well as a pair of barely-visible transparent white wings on her back.

Divine Domains

Lillon's domain revolves around order and balance in all things. What this actually means for her followers is vague and unclear. Most believe that Lillon doesn't actually endorse death, and some take the "life and death" part of her domain to mean that both should be notable, while death should not neccessarily be celebrated. Others do believe that death should be celebrated, believing it an essential part of life. As for the "darkness and light" part of her domain, there does not seem to be a clear agreed-upon definition for one this means. Her followers favour the dawn and the dusk for prayers, though some take it more metaphorically to mean opposing ideas, such as peace and violence or kindness and hatred. Still, it is hard for some to strike a balance between these without coming across as unfriendly or rude, which itself is not particularly balanced.

Artifacts

Lillon's major artifact is the Crown of Holy Balance, a sentient crown that meshes with its wearer, morphing their personality into one closer to Lillon's. This artifact is kept in the Grand Ansaran Temple to Lillon, the largest temple of Lillon on the planet, located in Lespya. To those not in communication with the people or church of that continent, the crown has been lost, leading many on a misguided quest to find and retrieve it in the name of the church. For obvious reasons, these quests have been unsuccessful.
There are other minor artifacts that are associated with Lillon, though these artifacts are not directly associated with the goddess herself, or their association was not been proven. There is a sword that is stored in a temple in Vehasi that claims the sword was the weapon that Lillon used during the God War, though little is known about the sword or the veracity of this claim.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Lillon's symbol is a circle cut in half, with the left half being white while the right half is black. In the centre of the circle is a flower, which is black on its left side, and white on its right side.

Tenets of Faith

One of the core beliefs among the clergy of Lillon is that many things that are seen as dichotomies are much more than that. They believe that there is no such thing as true and pure good or evil, and they see that as a good thing.
Her followers try to tread the line of balance in all things, though what they believe balance must be achieved between is hotly debated, and is a source of contention between different sects within her religion.

Holidays

Lillon has two holidays. The first holiday is celebrated at the first day of her month, and is known as the Day of Balance. This is a general celebration of the goddess. The second holiday occurs on the new year, and is a celebration of the transition between one year and another, with a focus on looking forward to the future while keeping the past close in mind.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Lillon's primary goal is to maintain the balance of the world. She places this goal above even her own safety, and is willing to sacrifice anything to ensure this balance is maintained.
Unlike her followers, Lillon does have a clear idea what this balance is to her. This balance is between creation and distruction, or between Sesais and the Devourer. In her mind, if the balance between the two leviathans is ever upset, the world would plunge into unbalanced chaos.
For this reason, Lillon does not get along well with Atharon, the god of chaos. He will purposefully antagonise her, and he has learned the best methods of doing so. To him, she is insufferable and stuck up.

Angels

Lillon's angels are pale-skinned, with black ichor dripping from their bodies. Typically they have white, translucent veils, covering at least their faces, though it is not uncommon for these veils to reach the well below their height. These veils become stained with the ichor seeping from their bodies, typically turning a darker greyish colour in many places.

Demi-Celestials

Demi-celestials associated with Lillon or her angels typically have a greyscale appearance, typically with white or black eyes, grey skin, and white or black hair. Generally, the specral wings that these demi-celestials can manifest are very similar to those of the goddess herself, with a clear and almost transparent appearance.
