Khisteus is one of the five Core Deities of creation, formed by the splitting of Sesais. He is the god of the sky and the weather, and is the patron deity of halflings.

Avatar

The avatar of Khisteus is a large halfling man with a mane of light for hair. His avatar has glowing golden eyes, and lightning-like patterns across his somewhat jaundiced skin. He wears mismatched armour in the style of halfling armies from ages past, and his expressions can range anywhere from peaceful to overwhelmed with wrath. He is said to walk on clouds, never touching the ground.
Khisteus rarely appears as his avatar, and when he does, it is for incredibly serious matters. When he does appear, while he does proportionately look like a halfling, he is much larger than any of his people; he rises high above buildings, a menacing figure to all who look upon him. It is said that the last time he appeared in his avatar to the mortal realms was during the God War.

Divine Domains

Khisteus' domain is that of the sun, and of the clouds. He is said to control the weather, or to be influenced by its flow. Either way, his domain is the skies, everything between the lands of the planet and space. Those who worship Khisteus to not worship him separately from the skies, nor the skies separately from him. Rather, they are seen as one entity; Khisteus himself is the weather, both the sunny days and the torrential rains.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Khisteus' primary symbol is that of a glowing orange sun, bisected by a bright yellow lightning bolt. This symbol can be found on temples dedicated to the god, both carved and painted, or on other religious iconography of Khisteus, such as pendants or engravings in personal belongings.
Khisteus can also be represented in other ways. Those in his following will dress in yellows, oranges, and whites similar to the visage of their god. In religious murals or paintings Khisteus can be seen wielding lightning bolts as weapons, using clouds as shields, or harnessing the power of the sun. Sometimes, he himself is depicted as the sun.

Tenets of Faith

Followers of Khisteus believe that the nature of everything is to change. They embrace this change, and welcome it. To them, stability is a comforting lie. The truth is instead that of ever-changing geography, language, weather, and life. The most important thing in the church of Khisteus is not to resist this change, and not to stay the same despite it. Rather, one must welcome change, embrace it, and adapt to it. Once a person learns how to adapt to change, they are prepared to face anything that the world has to offer.

Holidays

In the Calendar of Dulūn, the month dedicated to Khisteus is the third month, 33 days long. The month of Nevisteus is the beginning of springtime in the year, and is thus one of the most variable in terms of weather. Followers of Khisteus will celebrate him in these months, oftentimes holding feasts or banquets in his honour. Anyone, not just followers of their god, are able to attend these events.
In addition to this month, his followers will also celebrate Khisteus on the summer and winter solstices. In the summer, they hold large ceremonies in honour of their god, which can get incredibly high attendance rates. In the winter, however, they celebrate in small groups - but never alone.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Khisteus' true goals are unknown to every being in the world, other than himself. His decisions often contradict each other, and he is known to change his mood and his mind as quickly as the weather itself. This is a source of frustration for many of the other gods, though notably comes as a comfort to his followers.

Angels

Angels of Khisteus appear as blurry forms of pure light, in vaguely humanoid shapes. Little to no features can be discerned from them, and they don't often approach mortals closely enough for one to try. Looking directly at an angel of Khisteus can cause damage to one's eyesight, and also is likely to anger them. Angels of Khisteus can move in the blink of an eye. They are rumoured to move as fast as light - though this is somewhat exaggerated.

Demi-Celestials

Demi-Celestials of Khisteus often have somewhat yellowed skin, sometimes giving them a bit of a jaundiced appearance. Their eyes and hair will often glow, but if they don't, they are still generally golden in colour. They are typically a bit taller than other members of their parents' species.

Yes, the thunderstorms, hurricanes, and earthquakes are unpleasant. But this only gives us more reason to celebrate when Khisteus smiles upon us once again.
