The oldest university in The Reach. Established in 95 AFL the University of Vega (UV) is the largest educational institution of the world. With branches in almost every single of the Core Systems and campuses/research stations in hundreds of locations, UV trades in education and information.
Graduates of UV are sought after by all and many corporations send their employees to be educated and acquire further knowledge there.
Both entering and remaining a student of UV is an extremely difficult process. Students are tested vigorously during admission and every single year thereafter. After admission the students work under the looming threat of the 2 strikes rule. If they fail any two annual exams they are expelled from the university with almost no chance of reentering or appealing the decisison. Only the elite of the elite graduates the UV
