Seeker Badge

An enchanted form of identification that Seekers wear or carry with them.   Badges are gray if no Contract is currently undertaken, faintly glow blue if one is in progress, and faintly glow violet if one is complete.   These badges are linked to enchanted metal pillars spread across Festerfonts.   This is an advanced form of this system. There are fewer lost kills and fewer vulnerabilities for people to exploit. Even so, some groups try to reverse engineer it to game the system. The Guild punishes such attempts harshly, but not with violence.   More advanced Badges are handed out to higher Ranked Seekers. They allow registration of multiple quests, and the owner can switch between the active quest to see if they have completed overlapping ones. When taking on two Contracts dealing with the same Blightbeast, a Seeker will not receive “duplicate” kills, and the Badge will prioritize the first registered Contract that is applicable.

Location Tracking:

  • Badges can be used to find Seekers, or their bodies, if they are within the radius of the Seeker Pillars.
  • Kill Tracking:

  • Badges use a sophisticated method to determine the Seeker who killed a Blightbeast.
