Apparitions of the Damned

It is commonly said by the vernacular people of the Shahru faith that the humans who sided with the Leskeln during the Grannr-Leskeln war were severed from the cycle of reincarnation. After their death, their souls were unable to reincarnate in a new body, and neither were they able to enter into the Heaven of Flames, or be incinerated in the depths of Mount Varosok. As a result, they now find themselves locked in an eternal limbo in which they are forced to wander the world endlessly, unable to be seen or to interact with the physical world. It is thought that their latent anger, frustration, and self-hatred can cause negative effects to manifest in the physical world, and so they are believed to be the cause of numerous inexplicable phenomena.
