Estates of High Society
The members of Society are the cult of personality and are ranked by who knows them and who they in turn know.
Society-based ethnic communities form a kind of collective awareness of who knows whom and values those with the most significant reach, the most significant networks from all walks of life. They are dedicated to one another by interacting and accepting connections and friendliness.
1. They tend to live as isolationists, protective of their circle of associates, while gregarious and inclusive in public ways. They embrace the value of knowing others and value the accessibility that connection means. Genuinely democratic, everyone counts in making decisions, so they are slow to act but resolute in activity in support once confirmed.
2. Well-thought-out strategies fail in the face of populist ones, so governance is a constant referendum of populist pablum, pop-psych, and a smattering of public appeals.
3. The naming conventions for children range all over, sometimes in populist waves or absolute nonsequiturs when waves are out of popularity.
4. Place names are often in flux, with an older, failing popularity status competing with long lists of popular names shifting in and out of acceptance.
5. What one does is measured in a vacuum, so what one does to be popular is at once open and visible, and heavily charged and personally dangerous. A false move, and you lose popularity and social standing.
In a Socialite ethnic population, it is about the power of conviction one can bring to bear on the populace at large - and the personal power it can create. Below is a general list of rankings such a culture might use in such a structure

Note that each Estate measures value differently. For instance, the Societal community does not measure how wealthy in terms of money or assets so that a White Hat might be destitute, and a Blue Collar might be filthy rich. Intellect and Wisdom are measured by not what you know but who you know and how you know them, ya know?
