Architecture
Much of the architecture in the Highward follows that of the Ossalimarian Empire. Typically they form some element of columns and mass architecture. While much of the Empire use marble or fashioned bricks for their settlements, the Highward attempts to replicate the style with torite, due to it being more readily avaliable.
Torite, unlike many rock-like materials, allows for intricate decorations into different elements of the rock. For the village this has allowed for the creation of a variety of different intricate designs unique to Little Allherra. These designs are often focused around the chosen deity of the home or business owners. In the case of temples and libraries, they are focused on the patron deities of the people inside and usually have some integrated design of the deity as a statue.
The Southward and Outlands incorporate more different materials such as wood and traditional stone into their buildings. The architecture of these regions is much older than that of the Highward. Over the course of three decades, there has been more torite being used for new buildings in the Outlands and as decorative elements in the Southward.

History
Founding
Little Allherra as its currently known was the merger of two seperate encampments which were founded on the edge of the Cryal river. Both encampments were created as a result of the conflict between the Daunka people and the Empire's might. In 601 AR, as the treaty to formally succeed from the Empire was being drafted, there started to be disagreements between the two encampments. The story that has been written in documents is as follows:
A resident of each side of the river were fishing for some additional food. When a fish was caught using magic on the Daunka side, the Imperial fisher claimed that they were using magic to starve them and launched a fishing spear at the Daunka resident. While they survived the attack, the Daunka encampment wanted retribution as one of their own was attacked, despite peace talks being ongoing. The two encampments started to prepare for a conflict.
According to written documents, the recorded conflict never occured. Despite this, the story reached the ears of Daunka negotiators, so additional measures were taken to give the land of the region to the Daunka people and to share the land between the two nations. As a result, when the peace treaty and succession was in place, Little Allherra was founded as a village within the Daunka Province with a charter designed to accomodate the shared custody between the Province and the Empire. The center of each of the encampments became the district centers of the Highward and Southward.
A Noble Endeavour
In 621 AR, an Imperial noble family joined the budding community of Little Allherra. While it had expanded greatly in the two decade, the settlment was only as big as a small village. When the nobles arrived immediately there was a boost in the prosperity of the village. Harvests were doubled, the appearence of multiple children in a single birth tripled. This sudden increase in success allowed the village to expand more rapidly than anyone expected. for several decades the prosperity of the village was unrivaled in the region. Some thought that the village would eventually expand into a large city that would then cause difficulties for the limited charter that had been written.
By 654 AR, the noble family had set up their own contingent of magical academia. A school that would foster those with magical potential with the ability to progress to the schools further in the Empire alongside the
Veritas Convention, of whom the noble family were linked. Several successful pupils were sent to
Grantour and joined the Convention's school system raising their ways through the ranks. However, a large proportion of students found themselves finding the limits of their potential. It was claimed by the school that something in the region produced a significant number of people with magical potential that was pulled from a limited resource within the individual.
However, the growth and success of the village was to come to a halt. In 689 AR, it was discovered that the noble family had been slowly sapping magical potential from the village for their own benefit and an agreement with a powerful creature from another plane of existence. When this was discovered, along with the school's lies about students with limited or minimal magical potential, the noble family's name was scrubbed from the records to no longer grant them power. The location of the family is now unknown, but anyone who was in any form of social standing with the school beyond being a member of its roll were cast out aof any nobility and usually found in destitution.
The de Lovaris family were caught in the crossfire of the noble family's downfall. The parents both were staff in the academy in charge of the upkeep of the manor house that was used as the school. The parents eventually regained some of their standing by being proponents for the complete destruction of the manorhouse in the Outlands. By 701 AR, the family were allowed back into high society, though it seemed to always be at an arms reach.
