Kora's Mind Palace

Kora's Mind Palace is a 3rd-level enchantment spell created by Planerunner Kora Drual. It allows the user to expand their memory consistently, without laboring their minds.

Description

Time slows to a grinding halt, this singular moment extended in the perception of the mind. Moments, memories, facts, understandings, phrases, names, faces, times, dates, all flash by in a fraction of a second. Something lighting the web of knowledge from moment to moment. Until in a quick snap, the information is right there.

Kora's Mind Palace takes one minute to cast with somatic and material components. The material component is an amulet that has been worn for a year, however this can be superceeded by the use of some form of arcane focus.
The caster sits and focuses on the innate connection they have with the amulet and allow it to grant a better understanding of their own memories. For the next 8 hours, the caster can add half of their proficiency bonus to any skills made with mental modifiers. Alternatively they can get add their proficiency bonus to a single skill for the next 8 hours, decided at the time of casting.
When the spell is cast with spell slots of sixth level or higher, the caster either adds half of their proficiency bonus to all skills or full proficiency bonus to all mental skills.
